Gallery Two
New Botanicals
This new series of encaustic paintings were inspired by a floristry class that I have
been taking all summer.  I have learned about the most amazing flowers and
plants that have become source of ideas with which to experiment.  These are
smaller pieces, done with oil and wax on birch panels.  Layering the colors and
carving into the hot wax brought me back to the simplicity of line and color.  Such a
treat!!
